Ruby's Place

This house has a relaxed holiday feel with glimpses of beautiful ocean views, original hardwood timber flooring, outdoor shower to wash the sand away and then relax on either of the decks. Also featuring Wifi, flat screen T.V and D.V.D player, an assortment of DVD's, books and games for those much needed quiet times.

There are 3 bedrooms, 1 Queen bed and 4 King Singles that can be joined, all bedrooms have ceiling fans

A fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and oven and all that is needed for that authentic beachside holiday experience.

Fully enclosed yard so that you can bring your furry family member.

  We know the area well so we chose Ruby's Place for its convenient location.
  Everything is a walk away from the house. The house itself was comfortable with a couple of notable exceptions
  No Hot water at the kitchen sink ??
  No drier in the laundry which fortunately didn't affect us but if we were a family of 4 and it was wet weather for the time we were there a drier would've been welcomed, especially when paying $250 a night once the cleaning fees and other charges had been added to the quoted price on the website.
  
  Otherwise it was a nice place to stay and we would go back again.

  We love staying at Ruby's place, it is comfortable, always clean and has everything we need for just the two of us as well as when the family come to visit. It is a great location, easy walk to both beaches and the shops. We love sitting on the deck with glimpses of the beach listening to the birds and relaxing.

  We have been to Black head a few times now but this was our first time at Ruby's. Great little cottage with everything you need for a few days or a few weeks! Short walk to the club for a meal and easy walk to the beach too. Will definitely be back.

  2nd time we have stayed and enjoy it each time. Especially like the morning sun (in Winter) on the rear deck looking out towards the beach - perfect place to chill.
  Only minor annoyance this time was the gas ran out on our first night and it was very cold! It was resolved the next day but did leave us pretty chilly overnight and in the morning. The gas heater (when working) actually warms the house up pretty quickly.

  Glad we came here. Nice and quiet in May. Friendly small town feel, but with good amenities, and good sized FoodWorks supermarket with good variety of fresh food and groceries reasonably priced. Great community OpShop. Ruby’s place was comfortable and well equipped, and we enjoyed the balcony, morning sun and comfy chairs. It was larger than we needed. Would have preferred a smaller more affordable stay somewhere, but not much around for a couple. A weekly rate might be good in off season. Beaches, ocean pool and coastal walks ✅✅✅

  We had a really lovely time. The location of Ruby's place is fantastic. The fact that it's dog friendly with a very secure yard is a major plus for our family. Black Head is an absolute gem of a place. We've already booked to come back in June.

  Overall it was really nice with evrything you could want, close to the beach and the local bowlo which is dog friendly.
  A couple of things to be aware of there is a realatively step grass slope that needs to be navigated to get into the property so probably not the best property for anyone who is a bit unsteady on their feet.
  Although the back yard is fully fenced it cant be accessed directly from the house so not that convinient for the doggo.

  The house was 'as advertised' - no surprises. Ideal for two of us and our greyhound. Everything needed was there and the heater was very effective.
  
  The proximity to the 'Bowlo' (which is dog friendly) was perfect for our break. It was very quiet and only a short walk to the beaches and the shops.
  
  Maybe not as quiet at the height of summer, however.

  Blackhead is a beautiful and peaceful location for a quiet holiday. The house is close to the beaches and rainforest walks, and also not too far to walk to the shops. The house was well equipped with everything you could want. I would stay there again.

  Great accommodation. Easy walk to beach. Heaps of activities nearby, like barefoot bowls at the local bowling club that serves a fantastic salmon poke bowl. Love the beach walks.

  Nice clean place, and close to the bowlo',beach and village.
  This rental was hard to find on a dark rainy night as there were no lights on outside the house or illuminating the small house sign.
  Needs lights over front deck & door.
  The indoor deck was very pleasant once we had found some furniture to sit on from a side bedroom.
  The enclosed back yard for dog exercise is seperate from the main house, this means bringing Fido on a lead down the steps and through a side gate for yard access.
  Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars for cleanliness, is that although everything else important was squeaky clean - The master bedroom / bed area had stank of sour milk when we arrived, like the room hadn't been ventilated at all since previous guests stayed.
